Raiding update

I just wanted to let folks know of a slight change to our raiding set up, previous groups were fixed for 3 weeks before being rotated. I am now changing this to 2 weeks then rotation, this will hopefully give more people who want to, the chance to take part in the horn raids.

We are progressing well and now more people are familiar with tacts, and the blizz buff, I'm more confident we will get the spine down very soon with Deathwing shortly after.

RAIDING UPDATE

Just a quick update on raiding with the horn and make sure you check
Chang's post on the forum, I am going to confirm how this affects the DS raids.

There will be NO automatic inclusion to the DS raid group, even if you
have the required gear and ilevel requirement. In order to be included
you must register your interest on the forum AND participate in other raids,
for example Firelands raids and others on HC mode. The Raid Leaders
need to asses how you interact with others in the group, follow tactics and listen,
also we will monitor if you are responding to invites promptly and following all the raid rules.

The DS raids are going well but only because we are staying focused
and we have good friendly people raiding, if you want to be part of
that then follow the above advice.

Hey Folks.

Just a wee update from that raid tonight...

Blackhorn is down!!!!

In typical horn style we got Blackhorn down tonight on the last try!
After a couple of hours of intense raiding and some required tweaking of
tacts we finally found a way through phase 1, and phase 2 was no less intense
but with some teamwork we made it through :)

Awesome job all involved, great focus and willingness to learn and adapt to the fight
as it went on.

Update on tonights raid.....Ultraxion is down :)

Well done everyone involved tonight, considering we have only been raiding one night for a few weeks, we are doing really well :)

Hey guys and gals, just another wee update from last nights raid......the Horn is now 4/8 in Dragon Soul 10 man normal :)

Great achievement last night and with some new people in the group as well :)

As I stated in the raid forum, we will be rotating players every few weeks so that
everyone has a turn, so please be patient. Those people in the raid group but not
raiding on that particular night will be on stand by.

Damn last night felt good :)

Nice job all involved :)

Dragon Soul Begins!

Hello fellow guildies :)

I figured it was about time we updated the front page with some latest and very good news!

We started the Dragon Soul Raid 10man normal last week and it was an eye opener! The raid is very different from the LFR version with a few interesting mechanics to deal with.

Last week we got Morchok down but struggled a little on Zon'ozz with the ping pong ball mechanics. However we were not to be deterred and went back last night for another try.

And what a good night it was for the Horn! We got the first 3 bosses down and can rightly consider it a very good achievement! considering we are still gearing up and some people had not even seen the fights before in LFR.

So I want to say gratz and well done to all who were involved in last nights raid :)

6/7 Down in FL

Just a little update from our last news.

We just continued our lasts Sunday raid and we got Staghelm down after
3 tries and moved onto Ragnaros. Which was brilliant, we had a long learning
run on Raggy for the rest of the night. Ph1 went brilliant, since the start. But
the ph transition where the 8 mobs need to be killed before they reach the
hammer was where we struggled. At the end of the night, we finally had a
good 2 tries. Where we sadly still got 2 that hit the hammer, but some
made it through and we got to see the next ph.

So its been a long night, we did good though. So Ragnaros is a hard boss,
but as we now have a better handle on the problem transition ph, we will
have it done I think. When we go back Thursday next week.

Greetings Again Fellow Guildies

This little update is a very cool one for the horn.

We just did for the first time, Baleroc and Alysrazor.
They both went down and we acually tried 1 try on
Staghelm, which was not to bad.

Baleroc we 1 shotted and that was a nice achievement
for the horn of the unicorn.

Alysrazor needed some tries, but with 1 tank standing
for a hole phase where he was tanking 2 birds, dragging
them to the worms.. 1 Tank and 1 DPS down, we managed
to nuke her down. Which was a nice job by all.

We are doing good with the raid and now I do hope we
continue on this course.. All for this time. :)

Lord Rhyolith Down!

Greetings All

Lord Rhyolith is DOWN!

Another Boss is down for us in FL, we just got Lord Rhyolith down for
the first time. So now we are 3/7 on normal 10man FL run, not bad
for us. Good Job by all the groups members tonight and we will hopefully
continue this on Thursday, maybe fresh or maybe continue. Not yet
decided, as well we are doing a Fresh run tomorrow with other ppl that
have not gotten an invite for the first one this week and some alts.

So just wanted to update the news with our downing another FL boss.

Beth Is Down!

Greetings Guildies

We finally got Beth down, the spider boss in FL tonight. So now we are
2/7 in FL so far. Very good job by all the group members and we now
have some experience for the Monday raid that is a fresh run. We have
planned to do a continue on Sunday hopefully and go for the next boss.

So things are moving abit along with FL at least. Indeed a hard raid and
we need to wipe to learn the bosses, but it is worth it when we finally do
it. So again I say good job all, nicely done. We also finally 1 shotted
Shannox and that was nice to see.

So that is all I have for you this time. Until next time, have fun and
